CHARTER SCHOOL

A new 4 story private elementary-middle school of approximately 24,300 SF. The site is uniquely situated between the ocean on the south and natural wetland area on the north. Connecting to all the natural elements found within these environments was a guiding principle in the development of the project. The school features ample outdoor space for educational and recreational use, roof farm and 8 classrooms all of which have access to natural light. First floor houses a cafe with a focus on healthy creative foods.

Project Type: A Private school development within Staten Island Borough (Richmond County), New York.

Project Goal: In its entirety is to develop, construct, and thereafter manage a private school consisting of kindergarten, elementary, and middle school classes, Kindergarten – 8th grade, to be located at the Subject Property.

Overview: The facility can handle a capacity of approximately 800 students, however in order to provide better teacher-to-student ratio, the JCE has decided to only accept a maximum of 400 students per year.
